The Alarm of Danger / خطرے کی گھنٹی (Part 01)

 

باب 1: خطرے کی گھنٹی

رات کے سائے گہرے ہو رہے تھے۔ چاندنی محل کی چمکدار دیواروں پر ایک نرم سی چادر بچھا رہی تھی، لیکن اس سکون کے پس پردہ ایک طوفان چھپا تھا۔ ایلیکس اپنے کمرے میں بیٹھی کھڑکی سے باہر دیکھ رہی تھی۔ دور جنگل کی تاریکی میں روشنی کی ایک جھلک دکھائی دی، جیسے کوئی چراغ جل رہا ہو۔ اس کا دل بے چینی سے دھڑک اٹھا۔

"یہ روشنی یہاں کیسے؟" اس نے خود سے سرگوشی کی۔

اسی لمحے دروازے پر دستک ہوئی۔ ایلیکس نے چونک کر دروازہ کھولا تو سامنے حماد کھڑا تھا۔ اس کی آنکھوں میں اضطراب تھا، سانس پھولی ہوئی تھی۔

"ایلیکس، ہمیں فوراً محل چھوڑنا ہوگا!" اس نے تیزی سے کہا۔

"کیا؟ مگر کیوں؟" ایلیکس کی آنکھوں میں حیرانی تھی۔

حماد نے ارد گرد دیکھا، جیسے کوئی سُن نہ لے، پھر آہستہ آواز میں بولا، "ہم خطرے میں ہیں، دشمن ہمارے قریب پہنچ چکے ہیں۔ اگر ہم نے ابھی فیصلہ نہ کیا، تو بہت دیر ہو جائے گی۔"

ایلیکس کا دل ایک لمحے کو دہل گیا، مگر اس نے خود پر قابو پایا۔ "اگر ایسا ہے تو ہمیں جلدی کرنی ہوگی۔ مگر پہلے یہ بتاؤ، تمہیں کیسے پتا چلا؟"

حماد نے اسے ایک خط دکھایا، جو محل کے دروازے پر بندھا ملا تھا۔ اس پر ایک ہی جملہ لکھا تھا:

"چاند کے مکمل ہونے سے پہلے سب ختم ہو جائے گا۔"

ایلیکس نے خط کو سختی سے پکڑ لیا۔ اس کی نظروں میں سوال تھے، مگر وقت بہت کم تھا۔

"چلو، ہمیں یہاں سے نکلنا ہوگا!" اس نے حماد کی طرف دیکھا، اور دونوں تیزی سے کمرے سے باہر نکل گئے، یہ جانے بغیر کہ ان کے ہر قدم پر کسی کی نظریں جمی ہوئی تھیں

Chapter 1: The Alarm of Danger . The night’s shadows were growing deeper. Moonlight cast a soft veil over the shining walls of the palace, but beneath this serenity, a storm was brewing. Alex sat in her room, gazing out the window. In the darkness of the distant forest, a flicker of light appeared, like a lantern burning. Her heart pounded with unease.

"How is there light here?" she whispered to herself.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. Startled, Alex opened it to find Hammad standing there. His eyes were filled with urgency, his breath heavy.

"Alex, we need to leave the palace immediately!" he said quickly.

"What? But why?" Alex’s eyes widened in shock.

Hammad glanced around as if making sure no one was listening, then spoke in a low voice, "We are in danger. The enemy is closing in. If we don’t decide now, it will be too late."

For a moment, Alex’s heart sank, but she quickly steadied herself. "If that’s the case, we must act fast. But first, tell me—how do you know this?"

Hammad showed her a letter that was found tied to the palace gate. It contained only one ominous sentence:

"Before the full moon rises, everything will be over."

Alex gripped the letter tightly. Questions swirled in her mind, but there was no time to waste.

"Let’s go. We need to get out of here!" She looked at Hammad, and both hurried out of the room—unaware that someone’s watchful eyes were following their every move.
