The Qur'an which translates as “recitation”, is the holy book of Islam and regarded by Muslims as the exact word of God (Allah) that has been revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through Angel Gabriel(A.S). The Holy Qur'an is a source of Islamic theology, law, morals teachings, ethics, and guidance.

Revelation and compilation
The Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years during the prophethood of Muhammad. Its initial collection included memorization and recording, or writing, by Muhammad's followers. The scattered fragments were then collected during the reign of Khalifa Usman رضی اللہ عنہ to produce a definitive Quran, which served as the basis for all future books.
Content and Structure
The Quran has 114 surahs. Each surah contains several verses. Meccan surahs focus on faith and the oneness of Allah, while Medinan surahs focus more on social and legal matters. The first surah of the Quran is Al-Fatihah, which contains a short prayer.
Language and recitation
The Qur’an is in Arabic, and Muslims believe its language is unique and cannot be matched. Reciting the Qur’an with proper pronunciation (tajweed) is very important for worship. Memorizing the Full Qur’an (Hifz) is also considered a great achievement in Islam.
Impact and Importance
The Qur’an guides the laws, values, and thinking of Islamic society. It is used in daily prayers, inspires Islamic art and calligraphy, and forms the basis of Islamic law (Shariah).
The Qur’an has been translated into many languages so people around the world can understand it. Even non-Muslims read the Qur’an and are positively influenced by it.Even non-Muslims read the Qur’an and gain guidance, knowledge, and a better understanding of Islam from it.
For example:A non-Muslim People may read the Qur’an and learn to be kind, honest, and helpful to others. and one more example in my mind: Before Islam, people did not have clear rules about marriage. Islam clearly explained which relationships are allowed and which are not. Today many societies follow similar rules, showing its positive impact.
However it is still read in Arabic for worship.
